Abstract Investigation toward the high-performance and low-cost LiDAR is performed based on the LiDAR equation. The LiDAR methods are categorized regarding the imaging method, ranging method, and transceiver method. The performances of the methods are compared using the LiDAR equation, from the view points of measurable range, imaging rate, ranging precision, and so on. |
